The coat of arms of the San Marco Brigade presents in the centre the icon of the winged Lion of San Marco, a symbol historically linked to the city of Venice and the Navy. The figure of the Lion rests on the cartouche bearing the words 'Per Mare Per Terram' which underlines the peculiarity of the actions carried out by the special forces of the San Marco Brigade, precisely at sea and on land.
